Your territory
As part of our Firmware team, you will:
Act as a bridge between exploratory R&D and embedded systems engineering, turning bold ideas into tangible solutions for our trackers and pet tech products
Research and prototype new sensing technologies, data processing methods, and connectivity solutions to keep our products innovative, reliable, and ahead of industry trends
Dive into areas such as edge AI, low-power IoT, and advanced localization (GPS, Cellular, BLE, and beyond)
Design and implement embedded firmware prototypes in C/C++ that run on real devices, from quick proofs-of-concept to more mature demonstrators
Work closely with Firmware, Backend, Data Science, and Hardware teams to bring innovative features from concept to large-scale deployment
Rapidly validate hypotheses through simulation, field testing, and data analysis to identify high-potential ideas
Translate experimental concepts into robust, manufacturable features that deliver measurable value to customers
Present your research and prototypes to a team of developers working on the transition to production FW ready code
Share insights, challenge the status quo, and introduce forward-thinking approaches to continuously evolve our technology and processes

Your profile
Key requirements:
3+ years of experience in firmware development (C/C++)
Background in Firmware R&D - ideally already accompanied features from proof-of-concept to production in IoT
Hands-on experience with embedded systems engineering, including microcontrollers, sensors, and connectivity modules
Proven prototyping skills - you are comfortable quickly testing ideas on evaluation boards and development kits
Comfortable with data processing and analysis
Programming skills in Python (e.g. pandas, Matplotlib, Numpy,...) are a plus
Very good English skills
